Where to find bamboo

Bamboo (Bambusoideae) is one of about 1,000 species of perennial forest grasses native to subtropical and tropical regions, such as the humid climate of East Asia. All of Northbynorth's bamboo is sourced and processed in Vietnam.

Bamboo life cycle

The largest bamboo plants can reach 40 meters with a circumference of 30 centimeters, creating an impassable forest, yet they only flower after approx. 60 years. After flowering, the parts of the plants visible above ground often die to make room for new shoots and continue its cycle.
